Sixteen fanless Linux systems with 64 CPU cores and 32 Gigs of RAM for under $2,000 in a 4U rack space. These are Wandboards on Ubuntu that fit perfectly in an old (but brand new) modem rack. We used to make and sell these racks back in the 90’s. They held sixteen 33.6 kBaud modems plus 16 wall-warts for dial up internet. I ran into some of the racks still in the box buried deep in storage, ( I wanted the power plugs, they are the best extension cords, ever) then realized it was the same size as a set of Wands we have for another project, and could not resist trying this. I fired up a CPU and took a picture of it running in the rack.
I also got to peel off the ancient protective film from the plexiglass cover. Have not done that in about 15 years!
